The APPG on Immigration Detention has been re-established in the new Parliament following a meeting held on 2 December 2024.

During the meeting a vote was held to elect the new Chair and officers of the APPG. The election results were:

  • Bell Ribeiro-Addy MP (Labour) – Chair
  • Rt Hon. the Lord Garnier KC (Conservative) – Officer
  • Baroness Hamwee (Liberal Democrat) – Officer
  • Mohammad Yasin MP (Labour) – Officer

Medical Justice was re-appointed as the APPG’s secretariat.
